Ringing in the New Year

Wow. 2013 has been quite a year for us!  Winning the National Gundog Championship in Colorado in March seems so long ago!  That was an experience Janet and I will never forget.  That was certainly a huge highlight to the year, but we enjoyed so many other blessings.  The wonderful people we continue to meet in this life of dogs is amazing!  We had a great litter of pups, enjoyed the hard work and experience of another Summer Camp in South Dakota - made all the better by the experience of getting to share it with a now great friend in Andrew Campbell.

Pearl finished her Field Championship and her Master Hunt Title.  All in all, it's been a great year.

Not one to rest on "good 'nuff", we also have been busy planning for the next year.  Looking at things that worked well, as well as suggestions from folks we've made quite a few changes for the coming year!  These are mostly reflected in our new website just launched at www.willowyndranch.com .  One of the things that has been difficult is keeping up with a website, and this hopefully will help.  It's in a format much easier for us to update.

When you go to the site, you'll notice some changes.  First is, we've added to our normal training option based on time in training or "Calendar training" which is the typical month to month option most trainers use.  From comments and experiences over the past couple of years, we have added several Packages - from a Puppygarten for young dogs to Trained Retrieve to Steadiness or preparatory packages for various levels of Hunt test - hopefully we have a package that fits the need.

Another aspect of the new site you might notice is that we have added a Merchandise section.  We have for years referred clients to other sources for training equipment, and now are pleased to begin offering select items ourselves.  We will add things to the "Store" section as time passes, but to begin with we are very pleased to be able to bring Garmin and Dogtra products to our clients.  We will be adding Tri-tronics in the very near future, as well as other quality items we would personally feel comfortable in recommending.

Another great thing that has happened is that we have a sponsorship/dealership agreement with Northstar Plastics out of Minnesota.  They have custom made dog boxes for both my truck and the traveling horse trailer and are outstanding in craftsmanship, durability and clean-ability.  I'll post about them in a separate blog and in the next few weeks their product will be available through our new site as well.

But what does all this mean and how is it great for you too?!  In celebration of, and to Ring in the New Year,  we are offering 10% off ANY Training package purchased in January.  Want to save $250 on Summer Camp or a Senior Hunt Test Prep Package?  Book it!

We hope everyone is as excited about 2014 as we are!  Happy New Year to all!
Ken & Janet
